Modern and competitive companies recognize that training represents an investment in the organization¹s future. In a 1998 survey, 69% of the surveyed companies indicated that the failure to provide adequate training that results in skills would mean a barrier for the company¹s future growth. Consequently, in 1999, US companies and organizations invested $373 billion in worker training to address this need.

Harry S Truman College, faithful to its vision of being a facilitator of economic development and a partner to the local community, has developed the Business and Industry Services Division with the purpose of delivering customized training and consulting to local businesses and organizations. For this purpose, our Business and Industry Services Division is structured with business-oriented systems to be able to deliver flexible, economically accessible, high quality customized training and consulting in a variety of areas.

Testimonials

"There are a lot of companies where you can get training which is preset, but it¹s not customized to what your needs are. With Truman College, you can customize those programs the way your business wants them."

Goitom Meneguesha.
Allright Parking,
Vice President

"Truman College put together three different ESL classes in a variety of skill levels. They incorporated some of our own company¹s terminology and vocabulary in their course design. Our employees were very enthusiastic about the classes; their rapport with the instructors was impressive. We are all excited about starting the next series of classes."

Sandy Bykowski,
Tempel Steel Company,
Instructional Designer

"I looked all over to find someone to help us train our employees, and Truman College was the only one that came through. Its instructor was wonderful to work with. From his initial assessment of our needs to the final product; it was all perfect. The positive aspect for us is that we were able to train 10 employees for almost the same cost as if we had sent one person to technical school"
