The
Business and Industry Services Division of Truman College, faithful to its
vision of being a facilitator of economic development and a partner to the
local community, has developed the On-Site College Credit program. This program
is designed to deliver high quality courses to improve the skills of the
participants and granting them college credit for them.
After extensive consultation with area hospitals, banks, and other
organizations, a need was identified to deliver courses in Computer
Applications/IT, Languages (Spanish and others), Management/Soft Skills,
Business Writing, and Healthcare.
These programs are delivered in partnership with local employers who make their
tuition reimbursement available to either partially or completely cover the
cost of training for their employees.
The courses are delivered by industry-experienced instructors who at the same
time fulfill the academic requirements demanded by the Illinois Community
College Board. Besides following the college credit course delivery protocol,
the instructors emphasize the application of the concepts leant in class in an
effort to improve the skills of the participants.
To find out if your employer is a participating member of this program, please
